After winning the toss and putting West Herts into bat on a slow and soft wicket, our bowling attack made short work of West Hearts with strong bowling performances from Zac Scot who bowled 9 overs very well without getting the wickets some of his deliveries deserved. Rob Dunn was the pick of the bowlers taking 4 wickets, Richard Wells chipped in taking 2 wickets and Ewan Lodge making his league debut also picking up 2 very important wickets from just 4 overs. Farakh Raz also took 1 wicket from 10 overs bowling extremely tight and only conceding 15 runs. Our other wicket was a run out with Zac Scott and Mike Heavey playing their parts restricting West Herts to 86 all out off 37 overs.

When coming to bat we didn't make the best of starts with both our openers Andy Vernon and Kirit Shah secomimg to the slow wicket and the new ball. We were 11 for 2 and the oppositions tails were up.

Graham Hoar and Rob Jones then saw us through a tricky period steadying the ship with sensible and restrained batting on a wicket that was easy to give your wicket away on. Rob and Graham moved us to 80 for 2 off 26 overs so just 7 runs needed. Rob was then caught at short cover and Conor Thompson came in and hit the winning runs with Graham for the OE's to finish on 87 for 3, off 27 overs. Graham Hoar (47*) and Rob Jones (22)
